on Maple & 3rd.
Dr. Aiko Tanaka opened Purr eight years ago after deciding that cats deserve a clinic built around their nervous systems, not retrofitted from one designed for dogs. She trained in feline-exclusive practice in Kyoto before bringing that philosophy to the neighborhood.
She greets every patient at floor level — because a cat who chooses to approach is a cat who will cooperate with the exam.
